David

Your answer is almost certainly utilising the Visipad detector =
manufactured by Visilogue. These detectors are capable of detection at 0 =
KPH on the crossing and they can also be profiled so that pedestrians =
halfway across can be given longer extensions. Only one detector is =
required for each crossing which at =A31000/Unit makes them reasonably =
competitive.=20

Marek Daneshfar is the Managing Director of Visilogue and you can =
contact him on 07879667711.

With regard to the Kerbside Detectors you could consider using them to =
insert the demand which would be automatic whenever there is a =
pedestrian waiting. This would obviate the need for a disabled =
pedestrian needing to push the button where it is difficult for him/her =
to do so.

addition,
some users are crossing at a speed below the lowest on-cros=3D sing =

setting of 1.8km/hr (0.5m/sec) with the result that they are =3D not =
