After 4 months and dealing with paypal and Ken and Curtis I finally received
my performer 98 today. Did a dry fit and realized there was something
missing, the 2 inch switch band. He said He would ship one tomorrow. This is
not the way I wanted to start my level 3 experience. So maybe I will get it
in time to launch in 2020. See you all at Dairy Aire!

If anyone didn't receive their Performer 98 yet, I got mine and I'd be
willing to give it up temporarily until yours comes in. My build pile is huge
and this one is lower priority right now. I'm in northern California, San
Jose area. If there's interest and you are nearby or have someone who can
pick it up, ping me at tobyvanderbeek@xxxxxxxxx.

Hey Rod, remember the coupler debacle for 00-Nike? Yes, I paid for that
twice, going on 3x now.

I feel like I've seen Madcow run pre-sales also. But then they do provide
updates and actually ship items. Wildman just shipped me some parts within 2
days. The best service/transparency/communication is from Apogee but they
have computerized systems. Rocket companies are lacking in the communication
department and I'm not sure why.

So he never had the kits to start with.
I really like Madcow's model where they prebuild the kits before they run the
sale. I've also had good luck ordering from Wildman, but it takes a while to
get your BF goodies.

Just got an email directly from Ken:
I’ve told Curtis to get these kits shipped.
I’m also warning him that if anyone requests a refund I’m also going to the
same.
Hopefully I’ll be emailing you tracking info soon.

Yeah, looks like it’s 180 days to file a dispute with PayPal which is way
more than a normal credit card would typically offer.

No not with PayPal Kip… With PayPal if you bought it on Black Friday you only
have until 7 February which is why I decided to escalate it now… After that
with PayPal you have no right to ask for a refund… I think if we paid with
credit card you would be right you have much more time
So sad :(

You have about a half a year to file your dispute - 180 days from date of
purchase. There is still plenty of time. As far as freaking out, my limit
is around the April time frame.

That’s the thing, I’ve been in that situation before and usually there’s some
kind of limit for how many days you have to file a chargeback.
