I had originally signed up, But alas I have to leave the launch by 12:30 on
Saturday, so I removed my info.

Hey Folks,
Nike Smoke Dragrace update:
- We have 4 fliers for the race (that's it???)
Steve Sawyer Yes / Nike Smoke Performance 1/4 Scale 4 58
7.4 lb AT K2050ST ARTS2 Accelerometer-based Deploy with data logging and
apogee tracking smoke, Red Bee tracking, 48" chute
Peter Hackett Yes / Nike Smoke Madcow 4 56 6.5 lbs
AT K2050ST Redundant electronic deploy, BeeLine tracker
Scott Yow Yes / Nike Smoke RW 1/3 Scale 5.5 76.5 15.5
(est) CTI L3200 VMAX Stratologger/Electronic
Jimmy Franco Yes / Nike Smoke Polecat Aerospace 4 52
5.6 AT K2050ST Raven2 and cable cutter for main deploy and CSI
tracking
Also, those of you folks in the race, make sure you contact Mike for motor
loads and make
sure you get the updates for the nozzle so we don't have a CATO drag race :-)
Please folks - sign up if you're going to do it so we can plan the minimum safe
distance, launch
pad layout and if we need everyone to move out like we did last time.
Thanks and lets get ready for 3PM on Saturday!!!!

Did Mike leave you my prize haul at the last launch?
If so I will fly that motor instead of buying a new one. Thanks!
Also my Nike will have a new paint job, should be cool.

Hey Folks,
I talked to a lot of people tonight about this; there is a lot going on here.
In summary, you will need electronics for either motor.
So we will need electronics for this drag race.
Thank you!

Pretty sure they are still plugged or should be regardless. I've flown two and

Yes, supposedly it was changed to motor eject (it was supposed to be

AT K2050 is plugged, remember it was first intended to have a delay but was
ultimately released as plugged.
So these will also require electronic deployment, That is why we canaled the
mass drag at OS 2016.

The K2045 is supposed to have electronic deployment.
The K2050 should not.
As for me, I would recommend Electronic deployment as backup.

Ok. Michael got back to me.
There is an unadvertised deal on the Nike Smokes!
$38 off the molded fin model. ($151.99 sale price)
$30 off the regular model. ($139.99 sale price)
I'm not sure I can get mine ready but I'll be pushing.
Can the race be my cert 2 flight?

I emailed Michael at Madcow asking for a Nike Smoke Smokin' deal. He said maybe
but would like to know how many would buy them.
I'm in for one.
Anyone else?
Let me know soon and I'll give him a count.
