Good Job! Here's my trick on that bolt. Wrap duct tape around it until it barely fits. This will hold it in place so you can get the nut started. ________________________________ From: Julie <julie.hey.ho.lets.go@xxxxxxxxx> To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, January 5, 2013 10:43 PM Subject: [tcb] Hear us roar! To come up with one well running Bus, today my daughter and I pulled 2 engines and put the good engine in the Bus with the good tranny. And believe it or not, it started up easily with the first turn of the key! Yippie! I still have some finishing touches like fixing a wire, getting the pesky starter bolt in, reattaching the apron and bumper, oil change and valve adjust - then a test drive but those things (other than the starter bolt) are easy enough. I was mostly worried about getting the engine in that final inch and getting the wiring right since one has an alternator and the other has a generator and I am intimidated by wires. The final inch did take a while but there wasn't one curse word. And the wiring worked out much to my surprise! Sadly I will be without power brakes because the intake in the replacement engine does not have a place for the vacuum hose. But I can't be a princess all of the time. Julie
