And believe it or not, it started up easily with the first turn of the key! Yippie! I still have some finishing touches like fixing a wire, getting the pesky starter bolt in, reattaching the apron and bumper, oil change and valve adjust - then a test drive but those things (other than the starter bolt) are easy enough. I was mostly worried about getting the engine in that final inch and getting the wiring right since one has an alternator and the other has a generator and I am intimidated by wires. The final inch did take a while but there wasn't one curse word. And the wiring worked out much to my surprise! Sadly I will be without power brakes because the intake in the replacement engine does not have a place for the vacuum hose. But I can't be a princess all of the time.
