Hi,

Couple of issues here.

First, the texting problem is a known issue, and is because Talks is
attempting to speak when the message comes in.

The obvious work around is to either lock your phone when you are not using
it, or mute Talks with Talks Clear.

The other issue with the dictionary is because you set it globally. If you
tell Talks you want it to say Wednesday for WWe globally, then it will take
you at your word. So you need to do two things.

1. Set Wednesday as We as you did, but do it as an app-specific
setting, and whole word only. So bring up the standby screen, then Talks
Long Key1 to get into Talks settings, then set Wednesday for We as whole
word and standby only.

The nexty thing you need to do is to do the same again, except type in a
digit first to the telephone on the standby screen. Standby now becomes
Telephone, which is a separate app. Then set Wednesday as We for this
application as well.

Remember to delete your previous settings before doing this.

All the best

Steve

Subject: [talks-uk] upgrade problem

Hi List,

Since upgrading my N82 phone software and installing the latest talks. When
I receive a text all I hear is a bleep. However if I lock the keypad the
ring tone for my messages plays no problem.

Is this a talks issue as sometimes i hear the first part of the text being
spoken. I have it set to talks not reading any text in my messages. I
thought the upgrade of talks solved this problem?

Another talks problem is that in the screen where I type the telephone
numbers to make a call. there are two letters that say the day of the week.
e.g we Wednesday sa Saturday. I attempted to change this to say Wednesday
and Saturday and saved them globally. When I typed a text message it read
Wednesday when I typed we. As the only two choices to save those settings
are globally and application. Is there any way that would allow we in that
screen to read Wednesday etc.

Kindest Regards, John
