Hi Neil. Thanks for the explanation. I was comparing the price to the Access
which is advertised for £359 from Wayfinder them selves. I think that makes the
price over ten times more than the cost of the WFN one year license. I do
realise that WFA is more geared for the blind user and I was trying to point
out that if someone has some useful vision then they could get away from using
WFN. What I mean by this is if the low vision user like me can see to tell
which way to turn at the next turning then it's a product which may well be
suitable for some low vision users.Talks still does the bulk of the work by
reading the guide view and the name of the next turning. This product works for
me and may not for another low vision user. I my self am hoping to purchase
Access in the near future as I like the feature where you are told of your next
crossing and you don't have to be in navigation mode for that.Out of both
products I would prefer Access but WFN is serving my navigation needs now
without a huge struggle.

  Saqib,

You claim Access is 8 times the cost of Navigator, taking your £40 for
Navigator this to me is only a 6th of the cost of Access. Access costing £240.

An additional thing to bear in mind is that Talks may work in part with
Navigator today, as you've described, however, there's no guarantee of this
into the future, Access is developed in conjunction with Nuance and CF, thus
it's compatibility is assured.

  your Navigator's is not.

Hi. You can always try the Wayfinder Navigator application which is far
cheeper than Wayfinder Access. The map will tell you where you are. Talks will
read map info and the guide info when navigating. Talks will also read the name
of the next turning but you will need to see which way the direction is
pointing. The icons are quite large so there isn't a problem there either. If
you can't see then switch the female voice on which gives you turn by turn
instruction and you'll overcome that obstical. I have used the Maps when out
and about and Talks will tell me what road I'm on and if there is a road either
side of me I press the right and left arrow to find out the name of that road.
Not a bad application for £34. Wayfinder Access is a much more detailed app as
you are told of POIs around you and what crossing is around you and what
crossing you are approaching. You don't have to be in a navigation mode to use
these features. I just don't see the point of paying 8 times more for that
piece of info. I can use Loadstone for that and that is for free. With
Loadstone you would need to enter all your points of interest and there is no
internet connection involved. You just rely on GPS.

    Hi Chris,

Nope, if you want access, you need Wayfinder Access for GPS.

    All the best
