Hi Yvonne

If you have the Talks setting to announce capitals, then, when you type the
first word in a message, it will announce capital for each letter in that
word if the initial letter is a capital and the rest lower case.

Try changing the setting in Talks.

Incidentally, predictive text is much easier and quicker to use once you get
used to it.

Cheers

Barry

hello karen
thank you for that
it worked
now i pose the next part of this
when i create a new message the to box allows and announces lower case
the body of the text announces upper case
if i press the hash key it says lower case but i want it to stay errantly in lower case how do i set this so that it always says lower case when writing
the text

 hi yvonne

press the hash key until you hear it say upper case or lower case, if you
hear dictionary upper case or lower case that means predictive texting is
active..

 hi
my n 86 has predictive text turned on
it was probably done by the previous owner
i want to turn it off but i can find no mention of it in the menu
structures
can anyone tell me where i will find it to be able to turn it off?
and also is there a short cut command to go straight to predictive and
turn it on or off
 thank you
 Yvonne
