Hi,
Sorry, seem to have joined this thread a little late.
If you mean the 4 smaller keys on E65 under softkey 1 and 2, they are
dedicated keys.
The only one you can change the functionality of is the my own key which
is changed in the Settings menu 
If you are looking at the Phone with the Power button facing away from
you, keys are;
Top left key under softkey 1 = some kind of call button.
Bottom left just above the answer button = My own key, (this is the one
you can reassign.
Top right (under softkey2) contacts
Bottom right (Not sure, doesn't really seem to do much)

Yes, I'm thinking the same.  Looking on an N70, there is an extra key on
that which is assigned in Multimedia, so that's an idea, try it.  I'd be
interested to know what those keys do.
