The first relates to changing settings between pedestrian and car travel. Does the change of transport mode give more accurate readings in terms of speed and timing, or is this just a change so that the vehiclular routes can be worked out according to the roads to travel? NB So changing transport mode really has no specific affect, other than to adjust Wayfinder's pre set settings for voice announcements etc, when you change to pedestrian you should have route calculated according to shortest by distance and not time, time should be used for passenger car. NB Do not worry about setting motorways or tole roads to avoid when on foot, as it auto avoids them anyhow when you plot a route on foot. In terms of speed, WFA calculates routes and remaining time to destination based on your current speed, and not the method of transport, so if you set pedestrian mode, and move at 5 miles an hour, WFA calculates the time to goal based on that speed. So transport type has nothing to do with vehicle type. The second question is around saving favourites, or POIS. Can I save a favourite bus stop, so be standing at a given place, without knowing its postcode or exact co-ordinates myself? If so, how is this achieved, please? NB You can save favourites like this in two ways, you should read our manual found at: www.talknav.com, go to Navigation Assistance, then Wayfinder Support, then download the two Word documents TalkNav WFA Getting Started and TalkNav WFA User Guide. These documents both outline exactly how to use it, and how to save favourites at locations such as bus stops. Well worth a read and cover all your questions. Finally, as I noticed someone else asking, I would just also like to know if there is a specific list for WayFinder questions? I know this list is really Talks related, and I don't want to upset my moderator friend but don't know where else to ask. NB the WFA list subscription address is Wfaccess-subscribe@xxxxxxxxxxx Thanks for any and all help. -- Carol carol.pearson29@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx On Twitter: http://twitter.com/songbird49a
