[talks-uk] Re: Vodafone Coverage

I used to have major problems with Vodafone coverage when I lived in
Tooting, Vodafone persistently told me it was probably because there was
probably a lot of steel in the building, taking no notice of the fact that
it was an Edwardian house which might have had the odd steel nail in it, but
nothing else to speak of. They just weren't interested.
Cheers
Alex

Eleanor,

Both phone make and model can affect signal quality, the biggest issue
though can often be building construction. Newer buildings tend to use a lot
of steel, which isn't always favourable for network carriers.

Graham
That is interesting but I have a friend in Belfast and in her ground floor
newly built flat she gets very little Vodafone coverage. I cannot
understand it actually but I have witnessed it myself. Wonder if the type
or model of phone has something to do with it too because with my N95 I had
no problem with reception.
