GrahamThat is interesting but I have a friend in Belfast and in her ground floor newly built flat she gets very little Vodafone coverage. I cannot understand it actually but I have witnessed it myself. Wonder if the type or model of phone has something to do with it too because with my N95 I had no problem with reception.

Hi Paul. Not been following this thread and the subject is well away from it but I use Vodafone as it is the only company that has good reception in my block of flats. Also, vodafone coverage is good in many parts of northeast scotland and I know of people in Northern ireland who say it offers thebest coverage there outside the big cities. There are however some areas even inside london where O2 has better coverageso it really is subjective. One way you could check out coverage for yourself is to get a pay as you gosim for the networks you are interested in and check them. Obviously yourphone needs to work with the networks you want to test it on but if you havean unlocked phone you can easily test with more than one provider. I think Voda is pants in certain areas including mine, so there you go. How do you find their coverage though? I would consider them again but past experience has been that they offer fantastic deals like the one you mention but the coverage is pants. Would be interested to know. You might use it all if you download podcasts and stuff like that.I think they charge you a £1 per day once you have exceeded your limit. So,they say it is unlimited but it isn't really.Anyway, unless you have 3g or 3.5g service in your area, you would be betterusing wireless as it is faster in most cases. Someone else correct me if I am wrong. He cannot understand me wanting to access my e-mails through my phone and that does not help. Yet he is a PC software buff andthat is his job. I can use my Vodafone contract at present I am just afraidI will end up with a big bill but I have checked with them again and theysay it is unlimited internet access. What worries me is that my nephew hada contract with them and he maintained they were charging him more everymonth and that he had not used up all his allowances but then maybe that wasjust him. Yes I have a security set up in my home one. I must just find the bit ofpaper and then I'll be fine. I think it is usually a very large number like25 letters and numbers or maybe it is smaller like 10, I am not sure.
