I when using my phone for music / phone calls / texting / WLAN internet and
e-mail which I do a lot of all of these will get about 2 days out of my N82.
But I have 3G off all the time, packet data GPRS only when needed, blue
tooth off at all times unless needed, and WLAN off unless needed.

unfortunately the batteries in these phones do anything but kick ass or
anything else for that matter. You just don't get the battery life
necessary for using these phones as a music player and also as a phone
running TALKS which is going to reliably last for at least a day out on the
road. This is a shame as I agree that phones such as the N95 8 GB and the
N82 do sound good.
To make things worse, I don't know of a way of charging more than one
battery at the same time.
If I have to remember to swap batteries in the phone to charge a second
battery, things are getting very inconvenient as far as I am concerned. May
as well carry an IPod or similar player around instead.
