I take it you haven't tried the N82 then? I get about three days out of it,
and I use it for all kinds of stuff and never turned it off.
I agree tie N95 is crap for battery life, but the N95-8 is a lot better, and
the N96 will be even better. Whether they will be as good as the N82 or
not, I don't know, but the N82 has good battery life. I think you are only
going on what other folks are telling you.

unfortunately the batteries in these phones do anything but kick ass or
anything else for that matter. You just don't get the battery life
necessary for using these phones as a music player and also as a phone
running TALKS which is going to reliably last for at least a day out on the
road. This is a shame as I agree that phones such as the N95 8 GB and the
N82 do sound good.
To make things worse, I don't know of a way of charging more than one
battery at the same time.
If I have to remember to swap batteries in the phone to charge a second
battery, things are getting very inconvenient as far as I am concerned. May
as well carry an IPod or similar player around instead.
