Hi Steve

I am using an E71 and TALKS works for me when I create a new text message and
hit Options and Insert to insert a template.

  Hi Andy,

But you have an old phone <Smile>. It doesn't work like that on the new
Symbian phones. Instead, you get Insert Content, and Talks doesn't speak the
content.

  All the best

  Steve

My method is to either go in to messaging, select new message, press soft key
one and select add recipient, then press soft key one again, and select insert,
which brings up template, from where I can choose the one I want, which get put
strait in to the text, and of course, if I wish, I can then add more text if
required. This method also works for me when replying to a text from the in
box; this is on an N82. TALKS is with me all the way when doing this!

  HTH -

    Hi Neil,

The way I do it accessibly, so that Talks is always with me, is to go into
Folders, Templates, select the template, then Options, then Send. You will now
be put into the to field of a text message, where you can type or select the
number. Do that, arrow down and your template is inserted. You can now add to
it if you like, then send it.

    All the best

    Steve

    Eleanor,

Once you've created the template, simply create a new message, press
options key and scroll to insert content I think it's called.

Talks doesn't work here, so you need to arrow I think it is right three
presses, now press options key, and you'll hear from template or note.

    Follow the instructions there after.

      John,

Two things, firstly you can use templates, so that once you've made the
*0# message you can use that every time you write a message.

Next be aware that if you do that, O2 will charge you the equivalents of
two messages every time you send one, as they charge to send, then another
charge to receive the delivery report.

It's one of my biggest complaints about O2.

Personally I've just got used to living without the delivery reports.

Annoying though, I'd like to see them bring it into service as a normal
features free of charge.

      Hi John,

If you want to select Star, select it from the symbols list. Same with
Hash.

      All the best

      Hi List,

I have a curious problem regarding reports on the o2 network. I spoke to
a customer service agent yesterday who informed me that o2 have no accurate
report status.

This means when a text is sent to a contact a confirmation is received in
your reports folder. Unfortunatly o2 don't do that. I was told to put star 0
and number or hash at the start of a text and then I would get a notification
the message was received or not.

The problem I have is that when I press star a list comes up for symbols
etc. Is there any way of overcoming this issue?

Using an N82, although I think it happens in my N73 as well.

      Kindest Regards, John
