The IPlayer certainly works best with wifi.

Not sure how well with 3g and probably not good at all with standard GSM.

Good point there in terms of expense. I would only want to watch the odd
thing through my phone I must admit. Howeer what I have found is that when
attempting to download a podcast via my service provider on a contract with
unlimited internet usage, I get a message saying that I cannot do so only if
I am using wi-fi broadvand at home due to the high costs involved. I
therefore have to download any podcasts I wish at home prior to travelling
for instance.

Hello Eleanor

I'm afraid not but that is how the I-Player works - online for 7 days after
shown on screen!

Also why would i want to watch it on my mobile? This involves large
downloads and after hearing of someone in America being charged $5000 what
watching tv and movies on her mobile thinking her "unlimited internet" meant
just that - it has a limit and after you have passed your limit it will get
very expensive!

Hello List

If you want the programs that have audio description you need to find the
"categories" link and activate it and then find the Audio description link
and activate that and then you should get a list of programs that were audio
described.

That is what I thought Paul thank you. I have tried a few TV type things
but not via the iPlayer.

IPlayer is absolutely fantastic of Mobile if you have wireless.

Wasn't accessible at all though with Talks as far as I knew.

This would be great news if it now is.

You can watch TV and listen to radio... Usually from the last week or so of
programming but, also programme series are kept up there for longer.

I did download it Paul but I have not actually used it as I have simply
downloaded podcasts. do you use it for radio programmes or can you use it
for radio and TV?

Hello list members, I no this has been mentioned before, But I think it
is so much better, now you can use the BBC I Player application on the Nokia
E71 and N95.

It works great with talks, and I would urge anyone who hasn't got it yet, to
get it now.

I currently use it on both my Nokia E71 and N95 phones. I have had now
problems with it at all.
