Hi Eleanor,

Regarding the link you sent me, I cannot view this on my mobile. The page
loads the same as on the desktop, except that I am asked to download Adobe
Flash, which of course I cannot do as there is no option for this on the
Adobe website.

The only option would be to find the exact URL of the video stream, but then
again as the in-built version of Flash does not allow you to enter a URL (as
is also the case with Realplayer) this would have to be initiated from the
website, which is not possible with this site.

As such, unless there is a mobile version of the UTV site, or a dedicated
player application for mobile phones, you cannot view the video clips on
your phone as they are at present.

Also, to clear up the confusion, UTV is not the same as ITV (or Channel 3 in
the UK). It is a Northern Ireland channel. Further, the UTV player is not
the same as the player that allows you to watch ITV programmes post-air,
such as Emmerdale, Coronation Street, etc (shows how much I watch ITV that I
can't think of any other progammes, and no I don't watch those soaps but
have people at home that do!).

HTH.

I've just done all that, but it's still doing the same. When i cursor
through it just keeps reading out 'BBC I player'

There's only 3 selections in the options as well. They're:

1 show open apps
2 version sub menu (Iplayer 2.5.0 141)
3 exit

I can't even get to an options menu that does anything

Can you remove the existing iPlayer, then visit www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer and
re-download the application?

Your phone sounds as though it was from a network or otherwise modified to
include iPlayer. My friend who purchased an unbranded N96 did not receive
iPlayer with it.

Mine is an app which was not accessible last time I tried.

I'll try again tonight though for sure.

Hello,

I'm a little confused here. I found the application to be completely
accessible. After installing it, it just appeared as a regular website
interface with no accessibility problems to speak of. All I had to do was
select the program I wished to watch, and the program began playing. I was
able to use the options menu to control playback and exit as required.

Hello,

Alternatively, you can just visit www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer on your phone, and
you will be prompted to download the software automatically. From there, you
can simply access the application via your applications menu.

Hello list members, I no this has been mentioned before, But I think it
is so much better, now you can use the BBC I Player application on the Nokia
E71 and N95.

It works great with talks, and I would urge anyone who hasn't got it yet, to
get it now.

I currently use it on both my Nokia E71 and N95 phones. I have had now
problems with it at all.
