Hi Rob,
In my experience, the crashes are entirely unreproducible. My recollection is
that I was performing ordinary tasks like deleting between marks or scrubbing
when SR disappeared, similar to what Chris described. While I am accustomed to
periodically saving, I have admittedly stepped up the frequency of my Control +
S usage. I also believe that I've experienced fewer crashes more recently which
hopefully is a result of a Windows update that has improved matters.
While I haven't used it, it appears that the Microsoft Reliability tool may be
useful to track things down if folks experiencing the crash could export their

here should others want to try to use it.
I'm scheduled to begin work on a new project in the next couple of weeks so
I'll be mindful to record what I was doing should a crash occur and provide you
with the event log if you want to have it.

I do not edit at faster speeds, and I too have had this happen at least 3 times
over the past two weeks.
This makes me wonder if there is possibly some issue between SR and a recent
Windows10 update.
No idea what that conflict might be, or even if such a thing is possible.
Just my pondering on the subject.

Yes, but related to adjusting the speed. I've definitely unpredictable crashes
with no error dialogs. If Rob is wanting to dig into this, perhaps we can
provide Windows event logs for troubleshooting. I'll just add that this is a
more recent phenomenon with the last couple of version as SR had generally been
a very stable genius, I mean program.

I have just started to edit at faster speeds, IE the f3 command about 3 times.
During an edit, Studio recorder will just go away.
Using Windows 10 with the latest available version of SR.
