Can you tell me anything about the type of files you edit? What format? I.e.,
16-bit PCM stereo, 32-bit float, etc. Also, when you delete, do you just press

Yes, but it wasn’t the first time that session where the undo was used. It may
have been the second or third time undo was used to unmute something.
Really hope this helps.

The hard part about this is it happens so randomly for me.
Was working on an edit for about 30 minutes or so, placed the right bracket in
the wrong place and muted from the beginning to the right bracket. Went to undo
it and the entire thing went away.
Can’t even find the wave file at this point.
The only commands used during this time is scrubbing, selecting audio, deleting
and muting.
Didn’t save and lost 30 minutes of work.

OK. If anyone has a lot more information, I could sure use it. I’m looking for
clues; Things like:
* File format, such as I always edit 16-bit stereo files.
* Display -- I always use the wave view, never the time view.
* I always maximize both the main and document windows.
* I always use MME, never ASIO.
* The crash always happens after many edits, maybe 50 or so.
* The crash always happens at the time I press Delete, and never before.
I’m working on this, but, while I have found some weirdness, I have found
nothing that crashes.

What we are doing is basic selecting audio with left bracket and right bracket.
Then using ctrl-left and right to scrub to get it exactly where we want it,
then for me either mute or delete.
That is the extent of audio editing for me.
Nothing really fancy.
Just speeding up the file while editing is where I have seen it check out.

For me it seems to be when speeding up the file and editing.
My wife was working on a file the other day and it checked out on her 3 times,
unfortunately she didn’t save and lost hours of work. ☹
The files are wave files, converted to wave from M4A with the switch program
from NCH Software.
Sometimes I use Goldwave to save the files from M4A to wave as well.
Not exactly sure where to find debug logs.

I do not edit at faster speeds, and I too have had this happen at least 3 times

This makes me wonder if there is possibly some issue between SR and a recent
Windows10 update.
No idea what that conflict might be, or even if such a thing is possible.

Yes, but related to adjusting the speed. I’ve definitely unpredictable crashes
with no error dialogs. If Rob is wanting to dig into this, perhaps we can
provide Windows event logs for troubleshooting. I’ll just add that this is a
more recent phenomenon with the last couple of version as SR had generally been
a very stable genius, I mean program.

I have just started to edit at faster speeds, IE the f3 command about 3 times.
During an edit, Studio recorder will just go away.
