HI, I don’t normally do this, but I just tried it a couple times yesterday for
about 20 minutes when editing something I needed to do. I could not replicate
the problem.

What we are doing is basic selecting audio with left bracket and right bracket.
Then using ctrl-left and right to scrub to get it exactly where we want it,
then for me either mute or delete.
That is the extent of audio editing for me.
Nothing really fancy.
Just speeding up the file while editing is where I have seen it check out.

For me it seems to be when speeding up the file and editing.
My wife was working on a file the other day and it checked out on her 3 times,
unfortunately she didn’t save and lost hours of work. ☹
The files are wave files, converted to wave from M4A with the switch program
from NCH Software.
Sometimes I use Goldwave to save the files from M4A to wave as well.
Not exactly sure where to find debug logs.

I do not edit at faster speeds, and I too have had this happen at least 3 times

This makes me wonder if there is possibly some issue between SR and a recent
Windows10 update.
No idea what that conflict might be, or even if such a thing is possible.

Yes, but related to adjusting the speed. I’ve definitely unpredictable crashes
with no error dialogs. If Rob is wanting to dig into this, perhaps we can
provide Windows event logs for troubleshooting. I’ll just add that this is a
more recent phenomenon with the last couple of version as SR had generally been
a very stable genius, I mean program.

I just joined this list. I’ve been a studio recorder user for a number of years.
I have just started to edit at faster speeds, IE the f3 command about 3 times.
During an edit, Studio recorder will just go away.
Using Windows 10 with the latest available version of SR.
Has anyone else seen this issue?
