RR, RG What they are ALL afraid of is Trump renegotiating these deals. He
would kick their collective asses. NAFTA for example was "negotiated" by
pathetically incompetent bureaucrats. They had no clue about life in a non
bureaucratic world. Of course, most Americans have never been in battle. But
those of us that have often think about WHO would you like next to you in a
firefight. Hillary, (I've got a headache) Clinton or Bring it on Trump. Just
saying... JS

I would add further that I think unions are a good thing. I wouldn't expect
Trump to be a big supporter of unions because he's a businessman and not a
politician. But I have never heard Trump say anything bad about unions. I
assume he accepts unions as part of American life.
The problem is that union jobs, other than those in government, have all but
disappeared, and the reason is because companies have moved overseas. NAFTA and
other trade deals signed by Bill Clinton, permitted companies to move their
factories and businesses overseas in order to take advantage of cheap non-union
labor and sell their products back to the U.S. with zero import duties, while
at the same time companies in the U.S. have to pay high import duties to send
their products to those same countries.
You can thank the Clinton's for that. They sold you out. This is who you
support?
Donald Trump want's to renegotiate NAFTA and other trade deals in order to
bring jobs back to the U.S.. Even Bernie Sanders supports this.

Unions compete with business owners for their share of the profits generated by
the business. There's nothing wrong with that and up to a point it's good for
the economy. But most of the profits generated by businesses are reinvested in
the business. Profits that are reinvested in a business make the owner of the
business more wealthy ON PAPER but it does not translate to disposible wealth
unless the owner sells the business. Profits must be reinvested or else a
company will eventually go out of business. This is a concept that socialists,
who know nothing about business,. ever seem to be able to grasp. The is why the
economy of Venezuela collapsed and the people are starving. The socialist
government took over the oil companies and distributed the profits instead of
reinvesting them. The same thing happened in the former Soviet Union. They
ended up with nothing but an environmental disaster when thousand's oil wells
were pumped dry.

You don't know what a Union is or why they exist. Sad.

The problem is that if you make all companies your enemy they will just ship
your job overseas, and people like Hillary will help them do that. Oh wait I
forgot. That's already happened.
When your pension checks stop arriving because Hillary's supporters have
stolen all the money I wonder what you're going to say then.

I have heard this before from those who filled their pockets and then turned
their backs on those who helped them and
those who came after them.

This is probably not the best example to use but one of the things Hitler had
against Jews was that the Bolsheviks organized worker's strikes during WWI
which was one of the reasons why Germany lost the war. You can't argue with
that.
Union workers are faced with a dilemna. Trump wants to make America great
again for all Americans. It should be no surprise to anybody that businessman
like Trump are not supportive of unions. That's just the way it is. Unions and
businesses compete with each other for business profits. But without businesses
there would be no unions. That in fact is exactly what has been taking place in
America for the past several decades.
The reality is that it makes no difference to the future of unions who is
elected. It will however determine the future of the country.
