Hi David,

Good to hear from you and some of my new teammates!

I’m cross training and mixing it up with strides, LDR, rowing, hiking,
biking, and land clearing. (I came home from sheltering in Florida to a
forest yard in Georgia. I’m still working on it.)

I ordered a measuring wheel to get a better idea of my speed progression
when I start faster strides in about three weeks.

I thought it was time for a check-in with each other. For me, the 2020
track season was a disappointment, but I am thankful for the grace of God
that my family and me are healthy. I pray the same for you.

It is obvious to me USATF track will experience some challenges in 2021.
Still, I remain confident the organization will adapt and provide more
opportunities for us to compete than was afforded in 2020.

In the coming weeks, I will be sending updates as information comes to me
from USATF leadership/respected sources. Meanwhile, I suggest we continue
training, keep a positive attitude, and stay healthy.

It’s important for us to stay in contact with each other. I am asking each
of you to vet/scrutinize and share with the team any worthwhile meets in
your areas that become available. I expect finding good races in advance
of national meets

might be a challenge.
