2020 Pulitzer Prizes
Today's site from journalism's Poynter Institute offers the list of this year's
Pulitzer Prize winners. Gentle Subscribers will find this an excellent
reference for tracking down meritorious journalism.
"The Pulitzer Prizes are generally regarded as the highest honor that
U.S.-based journalists and organizations can receive." - from the website
With an eye to the various categories for which achievement is recognized, this
presentation notes the Breaking News Reporting, Investigative Reporting, and
Explanatory Reporting among the 16 specialties. In each category, brief details
of the finalists and the winner are given, along with links to the appropriate
publications where all these articles are freely available. Notable in this
year's awards was the prize for a new category -- Audio Reporting, which is
accompanied by the story of its journalistic recognition.
A tip of the hat to Subscriber BJA for this suggestion.
