Hi Rhonda, and thanks so much for letting us know and for bringing this
to the Envision AI developers' attention too. I did actually ask for a
refund when I emailed them last night too (not that I'm that
optimistic), but we'll see if they finally contact me tonight as I
suggested. I did also try the app again now, as I was notified earlier
today that updates were available including for that app, and I noticed
a beep now when turning on the flashlight, but still got no announcement
when I went back to that setting again, and when I selected it, it just
gave the beep again.
Regards
Vivien

Hi Vivian
It seems that something has changed in the help section.
I can't access the settings option and I think that is where I set up my
preferences when I first downloaded the app in April.
There seems to be some blurb about text recognition in the way.
Very frustrating seeing that it was fine a couple of months ago.

Hi Rhonda,
Thanks for letting me know. Well, I've had another email from the
Envision AI developer who was apparently trying to reach me via Google
Hangouts yesterday, so have been back in touch trying to arrange another
time. (I hope I don't have to be using Google Hangouts in order for them
to contact me - I take it that can still be used for calling my number
even if I'm not using that app?) I also did not get any beep when trying
to turn flashlight on, so that's certainly news to me.

I understand what you are talking about in the settings section of the Envision
app.
I just checked it out and there are 2 places where it says disabled but I can't
work out what they actually relate to.
Maybe they have something to do with the options that are not yet available in
the app?
Cheers
Rhonda

My testing of the App I didn't think it was ready for prime time as of yet. I
removed it off my phone and didn't buy it. Not worth the money to me as little
as I would use it and as far as little as it does; Not worth the money to me.

Hi list,
I have contacted the developers of the Envision AI app, and am waiting to be called back after they
suggested this in their initial email and I gave them my number and suggested time. Basically, I've
paid for the annual subscription some time after the trial version ran out (unfortunately before I
got around to testing it with the ScanJig Pro scanning stand). Now I find, when I go into Help, the
settings are being read out without the state (disabled/enabled) for each one, instead I get
"disabled" being read out in succession after the settings and therefore out of context,
and every time I select the button for turning on the flashlight, I'm still not told if it's on or
off - it just says "turn on flashlight button" whenever I go back to those settings. And
I found out after my subscription (which I consider wasn't made clear on their site) that the
built-in guidance geature isn't on the Android version yet! Is anyone else noticing the behaviour
with the settings on the SmartVision2? I'm also shown in my account details as joining in April
when I only subscribed last week, and I can't even get to whereever I'm supposed to be able to
cancel the subscription/renewal.
(They told me in the email they would need to figure out why that is happening,
and I certainly wouldn't have thought the gap between the trial period expiring
and my actual subscription would havbe impacted this.)
Regards
Vivien
