Maybe I'm missing something here, but as I noted, my time zone looks to
be America/New_York already.
You mentioned using "date," which I presume I could use to reset the
time, once I've checked out the documentation. What I hope I can do in
the long run, though, is ensure that the time will be reset
automatically using ntpd, or whatever is used, so my machine works like
it did last time and like my Linux machines have done before.
