Oh, I see!

Yes there's no need for the other keystroke so it can go. I'd be interested
to know how it got there.

Dan,

Thanks, and yes I resolved by using your web site instructions. However my
question was focused on the fact that after I added the Ctrl-` I now had two
keystrokes assigned: Ctrl- and Ctrl-`. I assumed that I should also delete
the useless Ctrl- keystroke?

Hi Dave,

I was always aware that this plug-in keystroke could cause problems when the
scripts were first installed. The command set file (Sibelius' version of a
keymap file) does contain the CONTROL+GRAVEACCENT keystroke, but some users
have found that it didn't take.

Tim and I have talked this through and we feel that the problem my be, at
least in part, related to the user language settings. We've settled on a
new keystroke (CONTROL+SHIFT+ALT+0) and we're hoping that this one will be
more relyable. That said, users will still need to check that the keystroke
has been installed.

There is actually a section in the known issues page on the site which talks
about this problem. I can't remember the exact wording but its something
like "issue: the navigation keys don't work and I keep hearing the same
message".

I'm adding a block of code as we speak which will test the plug-in and the
connection between it and JAWS. This should help to identify the problem
for users immediately. There have been a few people who got tripped up by
this one.

Subject: [sib-access] Adding the Ctrl-` Keystroke

Dan,

I went through the process to add Ctrl-` to the Access Plug-in. However I
saw that it was then one of two keystrokes, the other being Ctrl-

That seems consistent because I added the Ctrl-` to the Plug-In. However I
decided to also delete the seeming irrelevant Ctrl- keystroke before saving,
and things seem to work just fine.

Is this something we should do, in general, and so add the instruction to
delete that Ctrl- keystroke, to the bug fixes?

Dave
