Hi Chai,
You can use Hyperlynx with integrated 3D EM Feature.

Zchai,

Do not rely on opinion about accuracy of any interconnect analysis tool
without sufficient validation evidence and process that you can repeat. All
SI tools and processes must be validated for the interconnect analysis
above
6-10 Gbps (microwave frequency range). Most of the EDA vendors will not
tell
you about the limitations of their tools (or show almost anecdotal
evidence). As Stephen Thierauf pointed out "... in general CAD software
vendors do not always advertise or may not fully understand the limitation
of their products." - "Understanding Signal Integrity", 2011, p. 1. Note
that 3D electromagnetic simulation is not automatically pre-qualified for
the broadband analysis of interconnects above 6-10 Gbps. It is literally
sink or swim situation for the end users (see more on how to deal with that
at app note #2014_05 at http://www.simberian.com/AppNotes.php). Though,
validation platforms such as CMP-28/32 from Wild River Technology make it
easier to do a comparative EDA tools validation and verification of your
design flow. The EDA tool can be considered as pre-qualified for a given
frequency bandwidth if it provides acceptable accuracy for most useful or,
better yet, all structures on a validation platform (27 on CMP-28/32) by
following systematic and repeatable process without tool "calibration" or
"tuning" for each structure. Doing it yourself, you can test both accuracy,
productivity and limitations of your tool and measurement technique on a
common set of structures with results measured by expert (up to 50 GHz in
case of CMP-28/32).

Bet regards,
Yuriy

Subject: [SI-LIST] one question about simulation tools

Hi All,
I met a question, can you help take a look?
Hyperlynx is mostly finishing about 1G signal simulation, it is not fit
for
above 10G signal, other software is needed such as HFSS and CST , why can't
Hyperlynx do very high speed signal simulation, what is the simulation
algorithm and its limitations? Some people say that because the effect of
high speed signal in the Z axis direction cannot be ignored, only the
electromagnetic simulation of three-dimensional was accurate, is that
right?
