My question concerns DP link training when using re-drivers such as
http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/sn75dp130.pdf
Inserting a re-driver splits the link in two:
Link 1: Source --> Re-driver
Link 2: Re-driver --> Sink
DP 1.3 supports independent training of the two legs; however, the SN75DP130
is a DP 1.2 device. It snoops on the AUX channel and "automatically adjusts
the output signalling levels and input equalizers in response to Link
Training commands."
How is that supposed to work? The output level affects link 2 whilst the
input EQ is part of link 1??
TIA
Andrew.
