Michael, In the interest of time, I would run with the IBIS files. IBIS 3.2 specifies a Series_switch model_type for defining series MOSFETs like this. Ask your AE of you favorite simulator that supports IBIS if they can simulate this feature. I know that at least one tool does. :) Later, Weston -----Original Message----- From: Greim, Michael [mailto:mgreim@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, July 26, 2001 1:14 PM To: 'si-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [SI-LIST] Re: ac drive strength Hi All, I had a silly question that I wanted to throw out to the group in an effort to save time. I am looking to perform an end to end sim where I have two components, a quick switch and a connector. The quick switch sits between the driver and the connector. I have ibis models for the parts and can not get spice models in the time frame that I would need them. I have single line models for the connector. So, would I be better off bringing the driver and receiver models into hspice or per form the sim in the ibis domain? Is there an equivalent circuit model for the quickswitch? I noticed that there were rev 2.1 ibis models on the IDT site (formerly quality semi) but I didn't recall being able to sim through a device like this. If not, what are these models for. Thanks for the help.
