as far as test and measurement of the PDS is concerned, you can't go wrong
with this one:

It covers all relevant topics (measurement as well as theory and
simulations) in great depth. At the same time I find it very readable (one
can clearly see that the authors speak from their own experience).

What test equipment is required?
How do I calculate the acceptable parameters for the design?
