Hi Karthik, Return loss qualification criteria is mentioned in the standard specification. As regarding the way to modify layout to meet the insertion and the return loss specification, the answer lies in the definition of the s-parameters. In case insertion loss specs of the extracted data is higher than spec you need to bring the trace losses down i.e. decrease trace losses which can be done through decreasing trace length or using lower loss material etc. In case return loss specs of the extracted data is higher than spec you need to match the impedance better. I think the above guidelines might not be too specific but I hope that gives a pointer.
