Hi Paul, While I am not familiar with any stand-alone SerDes devices, an alternative solution may be to utilize one of the programmable devices that incorporates SerDes support for PCI Express. You should also be aware that simulating PCI Express links with behavioral model data. The AllegroSI community website discusses this in more detail (http://www.allegrosi.com/optimize/pcie_designchain.asp). What should be of particular interest to you is the participation from Altera with their Stratix GX SerDes models. The data rate is 2.5 Gbps. I don't need to transmit. Standalone SERDES or PHY devices for PCI-Express are not=20 available currently it seems, although there are plenty of=20 cores and IP advertised.=20 I don't need the data link or transaction layer functions. I need the deserialize and would like lane deskew and 8B/10b decode.
