Perhaps Cout = 50pF is the maximum recommended output load, not the actual capacitance of that pin. Perhaps Cin = 50pF applies to an unbuffered input pin, where the pin directly drives many circuits on the die. Unbuffered pins are rare, but I have seen them before. A more careful read of the datasheet is in order, perhaps followed by a phone call with the vendor to clarify what their specs mean.
