There is a vacation flag that can be administered(on a personal basis) at the end of EVERY mail from the SI list. or to administer your membership from a web page, go to: //www.freelists.org/webpage/si-list just type your email address, then hit the vacation on/off button from the pulldown. Really easy, and it will keep the tech content on the board, and not off board in person to person conversations(no one likes getting OOO spam). I learn a lot from just watching the replies to other people's questions, and would like to see it be as painless as possible to post to the list. Thanks(in advance) for being good e-citizens Tegan Campbell p.s. - Just as a disclaimer, I have nothing to do with the list besides watching it and *VERY* occasionally posting for the exact reason this thread was started. I don't like watching my inbox fill up with junk. Most of my replies are off-list. -----Original Message----- From: MikonCons@xxxxxxx [mailto:MikonCons@xxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, December 10, 2002 4:45 PM To: si-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [SI-LIST] Re: Hspice TR# files In a message dated 12/10/2002 6:24:40 AM Pacific Standard Time, buchs.kevin@xxxxxxxx writes: > By the way, do all of you who set Out-of-office notices on your email > program realize that this generates some 20-25 messages back to the person > who posts to this list. If you want to feel like you are a popular person, > just post a message! HERE, HERE!!!! Thank you, Kevin, for bringing this to the surface. Those of you who don't contribute to the SI List, PAY ATTENTION to Kevin's words, and drop the "out of office" automatic response ( its an ego thing anyway). Such garbage makes one NOT want to comment on the important technical matters that all of us learn from on this list. Mike Conn P.S: Yes , I know I'll catch more flack on this one, but don't expect a response. ------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from si-list: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field or to administer your membership from a web page, go to: //www.freelists.org/webpage/si-list For help: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'help' in the Subject field List archives are viewable at: //www.freelists.org/archives/si-list or at our remote archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/si-list/messages Old (prior to June 6, 2001) list archives are viewable at: http://www.qsl.net/wb6tpu ------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from si-list: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field or to administer your membership from a web page, go to: //www.freelists.org/webpage/si-list For help: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'help' in the Subject field List archives are viewable at: //www.freelists.org/archives/si-list or at our remote archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/si-list/messages Old (prior to June 6, 2001) list archives are viewable at: http://www.qsl.net/wb6tpu
