Posted on behalf of Tom Waschura at Synthesys Research: -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Humidity effects on Rogers R3003 Date: Wed, 04 Feb 2004 10:43:19 -0800 From: Tom Waschura <tom_waschura@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: si-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx We are trying to evaluate the impact of humidity on delay (speed of propigation) for transmission lines built as a microstrip-line on 10 mil Rogers 3003 material. Specifically, what amount of trace delay variation might occur in 3" to 7" traces in the normal ranges of humidity in a lab environment. Any suggestions on ways to decrease this effect? What is the time-constant for humidity changes? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from si-list: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field or to administer your membership from a web page, go to: //www.freelists.org/webpage/si-list For help: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'help' in the Subject field List technical documents are available at: http://www.si-list.org List archives are viewable at: //www.freelists.org/archives/si-list or at our remote archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/si-list/messages Old (prior to June 6, 2001) list archives are viewable at: http://www.qsl.net/wb6tpu
