[SI-LIST] Fiber transceiver assemblies, fully assembled?

We have had multiple requests from our customers for a simple ECL-to-fiber
transceiver box of some kind, e.g. a finished product with SMA ECL I/Os on
one side and a fiber socket on the other, AC wall wart, enclosure, decal,
etc.
They could lay out a board for a standard commercial transceiver, or buy
evaluation boards from the transceiver mfrs, but they typically just want to
buy an off-the-shelf, finished product that does the job.
The box wouldn't have to have any smarts to it; it would just be a
transceiver box. All the encoding, clock recovery, etc. would be done at the
electrical level.
Do products like this exist? We have a wide variety of just such solutions
for translating to/from ECL, PECL, LVDS, TTL, etc., but nothing with optical
links. We could try making one with standard parts, but we don't have the
optical test equipment necessary to test and support such a device (yet).
Applications are typically a few hundred Mbps to a few Gbps, either for
isolating two stations from each other or transmitting over long distances.
For example I had one such request for LVDS<-->fiber<-->LVDS over a distance
of 20 feet because the two stations had a potential between the two of a few
kV :)
