Gurus, I read somewhere that AC Xline termination (e.g. 50 Ohm line with 50 Ohm R inseries with a cap) required a more-or-less equal bit stream (equal number of ones and zeros) so as not to charge up the cap. Now I'm not sure I believethat. Two Questions: 1. For a 50 Ohm RC terminated transmission line (for example) are there any cap values that are better than any others? If so, why? 2. Is AC termination effective for any bit stream? If not, why not? Thanks --- Doug Brooks _____________________________________________________________________________ [ ÅxÖÿ¿?Ñ@d×ÿ¿??__ UltraCAD Design announces availability of its new book "Signal Integrity Issues in PCB Design" Details at www.ultracad.com[1] --- Links --- 1 http://www.ultracad.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from si-list: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field or to administer your membership from a web page, go to: //www.freelists.org/webpage/si-list For help: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'help' in the Subject field List archives are viewable at: //www.freelists.org/archives/si-list or at our remote archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/si-list/messages Old (prior to June 6, 2001) list archives are viewable at: http://www.qsl.net/wb6tpu
