Dimiter figuring out the actual power loss is a good application for one 
of the available 3D field solvers.  If you are going to locate the 
antenna beneath a slot, you could start to estimate by calculating the 
incident power on the slot, and then looking up or calculating the 
insertion loss of a slot antenna of the dimensions you propose.

The one caution I offer for the keyboard location is that all that sea 
water in your user's hands is pretty good at absorbing 2.4GHz.
