LOl sounds like you're describing my boy right now.  In the house especially 
he's all over the place feet landing all sorts of wild.  My mom eww yucks and 
rips on him constantly.  But get him out with room for more than 3 strides and 
he gets it together and moves out fairly well IMO.  It gets even better if he 
doesn't have me trying and failing to keep up with him.
