walking dogs<G> Many a time I have had dogs walk for a short distance,each
separately,before going into the typical gait The fore assembly of the
animal
is always of special interest to me. If you lose a good front on a dog,it's
hard to get it back, The rear seem easier to keep the angles and the short
hocks. In asking them to walk ,for me ,it's like watching how the bones
interact--like slow motion. You see also how the pastern works,how the foot
pad
sets down,how the feet look. Of course you see some of those things while the
dog is posed for the judge,but for me,it's a comparative thing,another tool
for
judging the dog And when you are judging a bunch of good ones,everything
