Most of my dogs like to rip into them and take the stuffing out. So, instead
of mending them, I just take all the remaining stuffing out and let them play
with the "skins". I have some of them that are several years old and still
provide tons of fun, especially for puppies.
The only one who never shredded a toy is our Yankee. He has been a gentleman
ever since he was accused of creating a hole in my kitchen wall and removing
the insulation as a puppy. I think now that his sister was the culprit. I got
him one of the big frogs at the Nationals the year he won the Conditional
Class, and he is the only one who gets to play with it, so it is still intact.
