I heat the swimming pool and swim almost every night. I am eating my own home
grown tomatoes. Oranges are great, grapefruit is wonderful and the lemons are
now ready to enjoy. I love these kind of winters. :0) When it gets too hot off
to the cabin in the woods of Oregon.

Our July and August are no different then your December or January. Kids
don't usually play outside in 30 below wind chills. Kids around here play in
the morning before it gets hot and then in the evening when it cools off.
We can at least go outside early and late and enjoy the day. Back in
Illinois, you don't venture out at all during those months unless you like the
cold and ice. I can still enjoy my days as I am an early riser and the
mornings and evenings here were gorgous! You just to in the Air conditioning
when
it gets hot. Beats the winters in Illinois where you didn't go out for
weeks if the ground was covered with ice or snow and it was too cold. Almost
every day last summer we sat outside and just enjoyed the evening. That was
in July and August. Can't do that in Illinois.
