[ SHOWGSD-L ] perception

I did not get my first Shepherd with the idea of the show ring. It was
several years until I met people who showed Shepherds, and the first
"show dog" I purchased was an absolutely fabulous dog, but not right for
the American show ring. I sure learned a lot from this boy about correct
temperament, which he certainly had!!!
Each dog you own can teach you something new. For example, my dog Bodie
has taught me that even if I am engrossed in paper work, I can still
throw his tennis ball. Doris E
