What a trip. In so many ways.
We got up at 3:00 a.m. to drive to the San Jose shows. Do you know the
way to San Jose? Some of us know what that sounded like.
Anyway when we got there it was so cold, we suffered through the shows.
It was nice on Sunday, but Saturday left us all with frozen limbs.
Magic Marker got her first champion progeny when Black Bart went Winner's
Dog all three shows, under three different judges for three majors and his
championship. Then Magic Marker got her third qualifier, when Bart's sister
won the reserve. I will let the owners brag, but it was a thrill to see.
We drove up to take Kirk to stay at CTH where he will be standing at stud
for a bit. He should enjoy that.
We also got to bring Champion Ava home for the Drapers to breed. What a
bitch that is. And, while I can't congratulate her since she isn't ours, she
did go BOS both shows she was entered into, so we had the honor of driving
her home to Riverside.
It was 12 hours on the road in two days, but over all, it was worth it.
Good judging, good friends, and no flat tires. What more could one ask for?
My kind of weekend.
