This male is the only one of mine that doesn't carry a lot of coat. It seems
most the males at least in my general vicinity go naked at least for a few
months. Even my younger male, who normally keeps a gorgeous coat most of the
year, these next few months are not kind to. The male I am currently showing
just doesn't carry a lot of coat, very dry. When groomed, much improvement.
Thank you for the product recommendations. I use Cindra texturizing shampoo
prior to shows and I really like it.

I've never been impressed w/ naked care, used it w/ bitches who blew
coat....then again, I generally have a lot of coat.
If I am campaigning a dog they are wet daily and back brushed w/ the blower
until almost dry. If I need to grow undercoat (again, bitches), Maxicare from
Cindra is a good moisturizer. They also have a nice bodifying spray for
shows. Careful, on a dark dog too much and it flakes, but honestly, so does
everything. Not the end of the world, they are wet again the day of the show
and blown out.
I also soak them to the skin when we get home to remove any product. If your
handler reaches for a spray, good chance there is alcohol in it. (Drying).
