Everyone -
I was there. I respect Evan's opinion, AH had no grounds to sue, but that
doesn't mean he would not have tried. And that would have cost us a lot of
time, money, and angst.
Trust me, I'm in the middle of a frivolous lawsuit myself - over a land sale
in Texas. The neighbors sued me for selling two 70 x 120 square foot lots to
my cousin. Seriously.
The bill is up to $15k now, and it's going to cost me about $10k more before
it's over. ALL of my attorneys say there is no grounds for a suit, but
nevertheless, we are having to deal with it.
I was there. The board did what they could to fulfill the wishes of the
membership.
Don't beat them up over it. They did a good job. I think sometimes we forget
they are volunteers.
Those of you who are complaining should either send your $5 to the
Charitable Foundation or run for the board.
