there were two dogs imported to the United States between 1955and 1960 who had
an overwhelming influence on the American German Shepherd. Troll v Richterbach
and Bernd v Kallengarten. ten years later two german seigers were also
imported. these two dogs were smaller and more agile then bernd or troll but
americans did not use them. they were bodo v leirberg and asslam v klammle. the
german dogs today do not resemble any of them.
