Obviously according to the By Laws any member has a right to vote for anything
that is put
to the membership for a vote!! I don't believe anyone in the GSDCA, Inc.
nor on this List
wishes to disenfranchise you or your right to vote, nor mine.
I have never ever seen that said here.........??
Voting is a privilege and honor AND a right, and It is the responsibility of
all of us, and you,
to have wisdom and knowledge when exercising that privilege and right of voting.
We owe it to ourselves and our Breed and our Club.
Judges influence our Breed .....and Board members influence the direction of
the Club and
our Breed. It is crucial that you do know why you are voting for a particular
person, and not
just a familiar name.
I personally would not vote for any Judge for a venue that I do not
know.....nor for a Board
member that I did not know something about. I can't bring myself to just mark
an X in a box
because a name is familiar to me. We ALL have the right to do that if we
choose to.
BUT......
If I do not know why or who to vote for.... I figure I could do less harm by
NOT voting under
those circumstances. I think that is what the point is on some of the posts.

The resident pet owner here has a couple questions to those who wish to
disenfranchise my right, and the rights of other members, to vote for the
judges of any, or all, venues at the National.
First, what will stop you from going one step further some day and
disenfranchising our rights to vote for the President or members of the BOD
because you might decide we don't know enought about those running for election?
My second question - if you got your wish to disenfranchise our rights to
vote in part, or in total, why should we continue to be members of this Club,
or any club? Why would anyone want to remain a voiceless member of such an
exclusive club or why would anyone want to join such a club as a new member?
