Be careful. From the vet gen site: The breeds who have vWD Type 1 and
where a DNA test is currently available are:
Bernese Mountain Dog, Coton de Tulear, Doberman Pincher, Drentsche
Patrijschond, German Pinscher, Kerry Blue Terrier, Manchester Terrier,
Papillon,
Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Poodle and Stabyhoun.
You CAN do the genetic test for Type I on GSDs but it isn't reliable yet.
Instead you would test for the factor w/ a blood test. See the link I
just posted for the values.
