Hi Renee,
I understand about titers and raw feeding but am not sure I'm aware of the "the
whole heartworm medication issue" and was wondering if you could please
elaborate more about this.

Add me in on that agreement! I titer my dogs as well and it wasn't easy in this
small town with closed minded vets to get them to do it. I used to have to take
my dogs to a holistic vet 2 hours away. After my local vet realized I was going
to do what I thought was right for my dogs he decided he was going to do titers
after all! He would booster my dogs if I let him and one has pannus and one has
skin lupus! Some older vets have a mind set and it's hard to get them to change
it. He and I just had one of our "discussions" yesterday about raw feeding and
the whole heartworm medication issue. He insulted me and rolled his eyes, which
usually happens when I ask too many questions he doesn't like! You are your
dog's best advocate, hang in there, ask the tough questions. If something
doesn't seem right stand your ground and do what you think is best for your
dog! :) Renee
